In other fenway-related news, JP Licks ice cream in Brookline has/had a flavor called Cherry Garciaparra, which has been renamed Cherry Ortiz. Actually the change looks much starker, as the official flavor list says

Coffee Oreo
Mint Chip
Cherry (Garciaparra) Ortiz
...

with the Garciaparra crossed out (I can't figure out how to do strikethrough text on the blog)

I guess Ben&Jerry's won't be suing anytime soon.
