John McCain's website declares independence from proofreading

From McCain "on the issues":
John McCain will deliver a national energy strategy that declares independence from the risk bred by our reliance on oil imported from petro-dictators the vulnerability to the troubled politics of their lands.

It seems the last part of that sentence is a remnant of this passage from a McCain speech on his energy independence policy:
As President, I'll propose a national energy strategy that will amount to a declaration of independence from the fear bred by our reliance on oil sheiks and our vulnerability to the troubled politics of the lands they rule.
I guess no one was proofreading the cut-and-paste monkey that day.

The plan that is actually outlined in that speech isn't bad. It remains to be seen how serious McCain actually is about implementing it; the fact that the latest information they have on the plan comes from April 2007 isn't the most encouraging sign.
